Concussion Seminar in Macon GAWe invite you to join us for a FREE educational seminar. Piedmont Orthopaedics would like to introduce its newest program for athletes and their parents, Parents Against Concussions (PAC). All parents of athletes are invited to a free educational presentation and discussion to promote safety in all athletes. Parents Against Concussions Seminar Tuesday, October 16, 2012 6:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Mabel White Memorial Baptist Church 1415 Bass Road, Macon, GA Guest Speakers: Dr. Kevin Stevenson, Neurosurgeon Tommy Spinks, Certified Athletic Trainer
Topics will include:
  • What is a concussion?
  • What are the signs and symptoms that parents should be aware of?
  • The most recent advances in concussion testing including ImPACT testing
ImPACT testing is a neurocognitive computerized test that helps clinicians evaluate am imdividual’s recovery following concussion.
